During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, scientific research, personnel training, as well as the development of mobility of students and specialists were discussed.
The sides exchanged views on modernizing the higher education system in Uzbekistan, expanding the application of international standards, supporting joint research projects and strengthening their financing mechanisms.
As a result of the negotiations, a preliminary agreement was reached to support 10 existing joint innovation projects and to gradually expand the number of such projects in the future.
It is also planned to intensify cooperation in priority areas, including energy efficiency, biotechnology, digital technologies, Industry 4.0 and cybersecurity.
The meeting was another important step towards practical deepening of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science.
