On April 15, 2024, on the sidelines of the second meeting of foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia - Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf" in Tashkent, an agreement was signed on the establishment of bilateral strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
The document was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
