Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expand cooperation in the agricultural sector

    On November 10, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Tajjurekov, within the framework of the meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Central Asian countries, held in Tashkent.

    During the talks, special attention was paid to the further development of bilateral cooperation, the analysis of the current state of joint projects and plans for their expansion.

    The parties identified mutually beneficial areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector, discussed in detail the development of meat and dairy production, poultry farming, horticulture, processing industry and improvement of the logistics system. The need to strengthen cooperation mechanisms in the field of increasing mutual imports and exports, improving the quality and standardization of products was also noted.

    During the meeting, proposals were made to expand scientific and technological exchange between research institutions of the two countries, introduce innovative technologies in animal husbandry, as well as develop partnerships in the field of training and advanced training.

    The parties stressed the importance of bringing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the agricultural sector to a new level, making effective use of existing opportunities and working together to ensure regional food security.
