It is expected that the construction of a new railway line will allow reorienting cargo from the existing Saryagash - Tashkent section to a new branch, unloading the Saryagash station and increasing export traffic to Uzbekistan as a whole.
The project will be implemented in two stages:
- construction of the Yerdaut - Maktaaral line - the state border of Uzbekistan with access to the Syrdarya station;
- commissioning of the Jetysai branch - the state border of Uzbekistan with access to the same station.
