Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov met with Chairman of the Chinese waste management company Shanghai SUS Environment Jishen Long.

During the meeting, the Chinese side was informed about the ongoing work on reforming the waste management system in the republic, as well as about a number of problems that need to be solved in this area.

In particular, information was provided that currently there are no systems for generating electricity by incineration of garbage, and tariffs for waste disposal services have not been revised over the past 4 years, which negatively affected the economic situation in the field of sanitary cleaning.
