On February 16, First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov met with representatives of the Omani delegation headed by Khamis Al-Shammahi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation within the framework of the Ashgabat Agreement with all participants of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman transport corridor, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
In addition, the sides exchanged views on increasing cargo transportation through the Omani ports of Salalah, Sohar and Duqm, developing multimodal logistics routes and strengthening mutual trade and economic ties between the two countries.
