Uzbekistan and Pakistan launch new transport corridors

During the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Pakistan, including representatives of large freight forwarding companies headed by First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov, issues of expanding cooperation in the transport and logistics sector and strengthening regional connectivity were discussed.

At a meeting with Deputy Minister of Railways of Pakistan Mazhar Ali Shah, an agreement was reached on the early start of field research to develop a feasibility study for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway.

In addition, the launch of a new transport corridor "Pakistan - China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan" was agreed with the Deputy Minister of Communications of Pakistan, Ali Shah Masood. Pilot transportation on this route is scheduled to begin in February 2026.

The implementation of these projects will significantly increase logistical efficiency, strengthen trade ties and strengthen regional integration.
