During the visit, a number of meetings are being held to strengthen cooperation. In particular, at the meeting of the Minister with Professor of the Hungarian University of Natural Sciences and Agriculture, recognized international expert in his field Zsolt Polgar, new promising projects for the development of potato growing in Uzbekistan were discussed.
During the conversation, the prospects for the development of the Potato Growing Center in Uzbekistan, as well as the opportunities offered by the synthesis of science and practice, were discussed in detail.
In addition, bilateral negotiations were held with the head of Hungarian Potato Innovation LTD.
During the negotiations, specific proposals were put forward to bring potato growing in our country to a qualitatively new level.
In particular, initiatives were discussed to establish joint activities for the cultivation of elite potato varieties, modernize the breeding and seed production system based on international standards, as well as create a Potato Corporation in Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that the rich experience and innovative approaches of the Hungarian side in this area are extremely important for Uzbekistan.
Deepening cooperation, attracting advanced technologies and knowledge are identified as a priority task to increase the potential of potato growing in our country.
