Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan held a regular meeting of Ministers of Energy and Water Resources

    On October 12, a regular working meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, which was attended by Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan J. Mirzamakhmudov, Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan Sh. Khamraev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan A. Satkaliev, Minister of Water Management and Irrigation of Kazakhstan N. Nurzhigitov and Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic T. Ibraev, as well as other responsible leaders.

    Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan K. Abbasov participated in the meeting as a guest.

    Issues of ensuring the stable operation of the countries' water and energy systems in the autumn-winter period were discussed. The schedules of the networks were also agreed upon.

    Within the framework of the event, jointly implemented projects were considered, in particular, the current state of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1 construction project and issues of coordinating the water and energy balance.

    In addition, the meeting discussed preliminary studies and future plans for the construction of a hydroelectric power plant on the Chatkal River in the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic with representatives of the Chinese company CEEC.

    The organization of regular meetings of the working groups of the parties and the signing of a roadmap for the implementation of projects have been proposed, as well as relevant documents have been signed.
