Recall that on June 28 of this year, due to heavy rains, a flood occurred in the Osh and Batken regions of Kyrgyzstan, as a result of which more than 10 people died, including young children, many settlements were destroyed, more than 1,300 people were evacuated, the Dune news agency reports.

The humanitarian cargo was delivered to the Kyzyl-Kiya border checkpoint in the Batken region and handed over to the Kyrgyz side.

The cargo transfer ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan Sanjar Zuparov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Osh Zafarbek Akhmedov, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Akilbek Mazaripov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in Osh region Ilyaz Tashbayev, representative of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in the southern regions Meerimbek Apishov and head of the Nookat district Jhakipbek Subagojoev.

Humanitarian aid was transferred to the administration of the Nookat district. At the ceremony, it was emphasized that the Uzbek people support fraternal Kyrgyzstan in difficult times, expressed deep sympathy to the families of those killed in the accident, and expressed wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

The official representatives of Kyrgyzstan sincerely thanked the President of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people for the humanitarian assistance provided.
