Uzbekistan is represented by 254 athletes at the CIS Games in Azerbaijan

    The next Commonwealth of Independent States Games are being held in Azerbaijan from September 25 to October 9. The national team of Uzbekistan, which flew to the country of the competition the day before, is taking part in this major sporting event.

    The competitions are organized in several cities of Azerbaijan: Gabala, Ganja, Goygol, Mingachevir, Shaki, Khankendi and Yevlakh.

    Uzbekistan is represented in 23 sports, including table tennis, bench shooting, badminton, football, shooting, swimming, volleyball, freestyle and women's wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, 3x3 basketball, fencing, sambo, judo, taekwondo, academic rowing, canoeing, karate, artistic gymnastics, trampolining, chowgan (a traditional equestrian game), archery and boxing.

    A total of 254 athletes represent the country. The delegation is determined to show decent results and strengthen the sports image of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
