The event
was attended by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, representatives of the founding
states, international organizations and the diplomatic corps.
On behalf
of Uzbekistan, the agreement was signed by Minister of Digital Technologies
Sherzod Shermatov. The country became one of the co-founding States of the new
organization.
The main
objective of WAICO is to develop international cooperation in the field of
artificial intelligence, exchange advanced technologies and develop common
approaches to the safe and responsible use of AI.
By joining
this initiative, Uzbekistan has become one of the co-founding states of WAICO.
This opens
up new opportunities for expanding the country's international cooperation in
the field of artificial intelligence, strengthening its participation in the
global AI ecosystem, as well as attracting advanced technologies, competencies
and the best international practices.
