According to him, the volume of trade turnover of the Russian Federation with the CIS countries from January to September 2022 reached $73 billion, which is 7% more than in the same period last year, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
"The bulk of the trade turnover fell on the three main partners of Russia in the CIS: Belarus - $31 billion (an increase of 9%), Kazakhstan - $20 billion (+9%) and Uzbekistan - $6 billion (+36%)," he said.
According to the Deputy Minister, the regions of Russia and the CIS countries have concluded about 400 cooperation agreements. Among the main areas of partnership are tourism, humanitarian and educational spheres.
In the sphere of trade turnover, Russia remains Uzbekistan's key partner. At the beginning of this year, the republic exported $ 346.8 million worth of goods to the Russian Federation. China, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan also entered the top 5 countries purchasing goods in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, the State Statistics Committee reported that by the end of 2021, the mutual trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by 32.8%, to $ 7.517 billion. The Russian Federation came out on top among the major partner countries of the republic with a share of 17.9% in the total volume of foreign trade turnover of the republic.
According to the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, Russia pays a special place to Uzbekistan in reorienting exports and imports, searching for new suppliers, building new logistics and manufactured chains.
