The festival was held in Abu Dhabi from August 16 to 25, and consisted of 9 rounds. The time control was 90 minutes for the entire game plus the addition of 30 seconds starting from the first move.
It is noteworthy that the strongest grandmasters - 148 chess players from 31 countries - competed at this prestigious competition, where our compatriot had very little time left before the coveted triumph in the Masters group.
The first place was taken by the Indian chess player Arjun Erigaisi, who scored 7.5 points. Jordi Van Forest, the representative of the Netherlands, closed the top three.
Also, several of our chess players took part in the tournament in Abu Dhabi. According to the results, Nodirbek Yakubboev took 5th place with 6.5 points, and Shamsiddin Vakhidov, who scored 6 points, took 20th place. Nilufar Yakubboeva, who scored 5.5 points, took 40th place.
