According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the parties discussed the current issues of cooperation, the state of implementation of mutual agreements in trade, economic, transport, logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the preparation for the upcoming events at the highest level.
The practical aspects of cooperation on the implementation of the Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar railway construction project were also discussed.
The parties touched upon the implementation of promising joint projects in textile, leather, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, energy, agriculture and the tourism industry and expressed their commitment to providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in resolving emerging issues.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to hold the Sixth Meeting of Uzbekistan – Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as the Business Council with the participation of leading business circles of both countries in July this year in Tashkent.
