As part of the next round of negotiations to establish bilateral cooperation, practical aspects of bringing our national products to the EU markets through the Latvian market were discussed. In this regard, the possibilities of Uzbekistan related to the effective use of the GSP+ system of preferences were considered.

The head of Trade house Uzbekistan noted that today a large exhibition hall for Uzbekistan has been opened in Latvia and trade in handicrafts and agricultural products has been established.

At the meeting, the parties discussed in detail issues related to the placement of samples of leather and shoe industry products, the assortment presented and logistics. The current state of affairs in the field of wholesale trade organization in Latvia was also considered. During the talks, an exchange of views took place on issues related to attracting investments of Latvian companies to Uzbekistan and the implementation of joint projects.

As a result of the dialogue, it was decided to hold negotiations with local enterprises supplying products to Latvia, including the EU, and place samples in a showroom in Latvia.
