UZTELECOM took part in the international conference "Space Technology Conference-2022"

    Uzbektelecom JSC is taking part in the international conference, "Space Technology Conference-2022", held for the first time in our capital.

    The conference, which was attended by space agencies and related organizations of Central Eurasian countries, discussed a number of projects, promising ideas, including topical topics related to the development of satellite communication systems.

    Deputy General Director for Long-term Development and Innovation of the company Akmal Arifdjanov spoke at it. He spoke about the active participation of Uzbektelecom in telecommunications projects in cooperation with international telecommunications organizations, bilateral cooperation with foreign operators and manufacturers of telecommunications equipment, as well as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RSS), the satellite communications organization Intelsat.

    It should be noted that the company's local telecommunications network is based on modern technologies and is constantly being updated.

    By 2022, the company has established roaming partnerships with 174 international operators in 107 countries around the world. At the same time, roaming services for UZTELECOM mobile subscribers are provided in more than 100 countries around the world.

    Uzbektelecom JSC provides international telephone communication through two international switching nodes in cooperation with about 30 international operators in the field of wired telephony.

    As part of the report, new opportunities of the Uz-Sat company, created with the participation of Uzbektelecom JSC, were presented.

    The main activity of the company is aimed at creating its own VSAT network, providing mobile satellite telephony on the territory of the republic, aimed at the formation and development of satellite communication services. At the same time, based on the implementation of the project, satellite Internet and telephony services will be provided throughout Uzbekistan, including in hard-to-reach areas, as well as in areas of research in the oil and gas industry (production, monitoring, accounting).

    Within the framework of the project, together with foreign operators Thuraya, Inmarsat, Globalstar, Iridium, Orbcom, Viasat, OneWeb, StarLink and other satellite operators, Internet connection services, satellite telephony services, monitoring of vehicle speed parameters and trajectory will be provided.

    In order to achieve the above goal, it is planned to build a satellite ground station (central ground station) with the involvement of foreign investments, connection to international networks through the telecommunications network of Uzbektelecom JSC.
