In particular, the baggage of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, born in 1994, who arrived on the Bangkok - Sharjah -Tashkent flight, was searched at Tashkent International Airport.

As a result of the inspection, a total of 4.4 kilograms of the synthetic drug mephedrone were found in eight packages with various sweets and five plastic containers.

During further operational measures, it was established that, on the instructions of the administrator of an online drug store, the detainee was supposed to transfer the prohibited substance to a resident of Yangiyul, born in 2006, in one of the hotels in the capital. The recipient was also detained during the drug transfer.

During a personal search, an air pistol was found in the possession of an Uzbek citizen, which was seized in accordance with the established procedure.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under part 2 of Article 246 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in relation to the suspects. Investigative actions are underway.
