On September 4, 2025, at 12:02 p.m., the Bukhara Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the short number "102" of the Bukhara Department of Internal Affairs received a message that five workers had fallen into the central sewer in the village of Bogidasht, Bukhara district, during construction work.

According to the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region, during the inspection it was found that at about 12:00, employees of Fayz Binokor Oltiariq LLC (5 people in total) were repairing the sewage system in the specified area. According to preliminary data, the driver of a KamAZ crane (license plate 80 411 JBA), owned by O'rta Osiyo Qurilish LLC, removed the manhole cover with a diameter of 1000 mm and a depth of 8 meters without permission. This was done to connect the newly laid sewer line to the central collector. Violation of labor protection regulations led to the fact that workers fell into the collector and were carried away by a strong stream of sewage.

During the inspection of the scene, the bodies of three workers were found in the collector on the territory of the mahalla "Zarmanok" in Bukhara district. The search for two more people continues.

The investigation department of the Bukhara Department of Internal Affairs has opened a criminal case on this fact under part 2 of paragraph "a" of Article 257 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan ("Violation of labor protection rules"). Initial investigative actions are underway.
