According
to the terms, 30% of the amount was transferred to the company's account.
However, the head of the district health department demanded a
"rollback" of 15% of the total contract value (150 million soums) for
transferring the remaining funds and further concluding contracts with this
enterprise.
During an
operational event conducted by the staff of the State Security Service, the
official was detained while receiving part of the required amount - 11,800 US
dollars, which was transferred by his wife.
It was also
established that he organized the illegal distribution of incentive payments
among employees of family clinics in the amount of 448 million soums, of which
92 million soums were returned to him.
A criminal
case has been opened against the official in accordance with the relevant
articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A preliminary
investigation is underway.
