Uzbek-Saudi inter-ministerial political consultations were held in Riyadh

    The fifth round of Uzbek-Saudi interministerial political consultations took place in Riyadh. The delegations of the parties were headed by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Walid Al-Khariji.

    During the negotiations, the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level was reviewed. Issues of intensifying political dialogue, developing ties in trade, economic, investment, transport, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres were discussed. Mutual interest was expressed in strengthening interparliamentary contacts and expanding the legal framework of cooperation.

    The sides noted positive trends in the development of interstate relations and confirmed their readiness to mobilize all resources to further deepen the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

    Special attention was paid to the schedule and organizational aspects of upcoming joint events of a bilateral and interregional nature, including in the format of "Central Asia - Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf".

    The sides also exchanged views on topical international and regional issues, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
