Based on operational data from the Central Bank, the Tax Committee, the Customs Committee, and the Republican Commodity Exchange, experts from the Center for Economic Research and Reform (CEIR) conduct a comprehensive monthly analysis of business activity in all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
An integrated approach allows analyzing entrepreneurial activity in various sectors of the economy at the regional level, assessing trends and patterns of business development, as well as identifying key factors affecting the economic dynamics of each region of the republic.
According to the monitoring results, tax revenues in July 2025 showed a positive trend with an increase of 18.8% compared to the same period in 2024.
The analysis of the regional dynamics of tax revenues revealed the following trends. The Tashkent region recorded the highest increase in tax revenues - 49%. Navoi, Andijan and Syrdarya regions also recorded significant growth - by 37.9%, 36.3%, and 35.7%, respectively. In Tashkent, the growth was 42.8%.
Receipts on customs payments increased by 17.9%.
The largest increase in customs revenues was registered in the Syrdarya region, reaching 110.6%. Growth was also observed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 48%, Navoi region - 29.5%, as well as in Tashkent - 21.9%.
Exports of goods in July this year increased by 10.6% compared to the same period last year. Significant export growth was observed in Surkhandarya (by 50.1%), Samarkand (by 36.4%), Syrdarya (by 17.4%) and Khorezm (by 16.4%) regions.
The volume of loans issued by commercial banks increased by 41.6% during the specified period. The largest increase in lending was recorded in Syrdarya (by 77.1%), Navoi (by 51.7%), Namangan (by 49.4%) regions and Tashkent (by 51.1%).
In July, 47,660 new business entities were created, the largest number of which were registered in Tashkent (4,857), Khorezm (4,274) and Ferghana (3,906) regions, as well as in Tashkent (10,790).
The volume of transactions on the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange increased by 31.5% during the period under review. The largest activity on the stock exchange was observed in Kashkadarya (by 70%), Surkhandarya (by 52%), Syrdarya (by 51.6%) regions, as well as the Republic of Karakalpakstan (by 59.8%).
