At it, M. Ikramov informed the guests in detail about the activities of the ministry and the large-scale reforms in the legal sphere that have been implemented in our republic in recent years.
The Director of the Center for the Rule of Law of the University of Helsinki, T. Brax, positively assessed the reforms carried out in this direction.
The parties discussed the participation of the Rule of Law Center at the University of Helsinki in the activities within the framework of the project "Strengthening the rule of law and protection of human rights in Uzbekistan", developed jointly with the United Nations Development Program and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on improving the provision of free legal aid and legal, public services, training and advanced training of legal personnel by supporting the strengthening of the legal and institutional framework in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of law and justice, the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice reports.
