Moscow hosts "Days of Cinema of Uzbekistan"

    On December 24, the "Cinema Days of Uzbekistan" was solemnly opened at the Moscow Illusion Cinema. The event was attended by Head of the Department of Cinematography of Russia Dmitry Davydenko, Special Representative of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Relations Mikhail Shvydkoy and other Russian filmmakers.

    The event is organized jointly with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    Four films of different genres and themes shot over the past two years will be presented to Moscow film viewers. This, in turn, allows the viewer to come to certain ideas and conclusions about the current appearance of modern Uzbek cinema.

    Within the framework of the "Days of Cinema of Uzbekistan" program, Muscovites will see the films "Two Thousand Songs of Farida" directed by Yolkin Tuychiev, the feature film "Ayol Kismati" directed by Dilmurod Masaidov, the film "Tutkunlik" directed by Rashid Malikov

    According to the information service of the Cinematography Agency, within the framework of the event, members of the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Mosfilm film concern.

    Filmmakers got acquainted with the rich history and modern technical and creative capabilities of Mosfilm. Members of the delegation also visited the shooting pavilion, a modern cinema, and also visited the museum telling about the rich history of Russian cinema.

    Also, as part of the start of the Days of Uzbek Cinema, a conference was held. The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Department of Cinematography and Digital Development of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Svetlana Frichinskaya, General Director of Mosfilm Film Concern Karen Shakhnazarov, General Producer of Soyuzmultfilm Studio Yulia Osetinskaya, members of the delegation headed by General Director of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

    Applications for projects of Russian-Uzbek cooperation were presented at the meeting. The Uzbek side presented to the attention of Russian colleagues five film projects with working titles "Zilzila", "Pakhtakor 79", "Jizzakh quzgoloni", "Masjid" and "Amir Temur and Tokhtamyshkhan".

    Within the framework of the Days of Uzbek Cinema, a number of films of modern Uzbek cinema will be shown in the Moscow cinema "Illusion".
