22 kindergartens, 31 schools, 16 higher educational institutions will be built in Uzbekistan

    The Resolution of the President "On measures to develop the social and industrial infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021–2023" was adopted (№ RP-4936, 28.12.2020).

    The Resolution approved the main parameters for the development of social and industrial infrastructure in 2021 and targets for 2022–2023.

    According to the document, in the years the following will be established:

    • 22 new kindergartens (for 2,970 positions), 31 general and specialized schools (for 13,934 positions), 16 HEIs (for 9,300 positions) will be built;
    • 55 projects have been implemented (of which 23 are the construction of new facilities) for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of physical culture and sports facilities;
    • 11 new objects of culture and art will be upbuilded, 7 objects will be reconstructed;
    • 131 projects (including 24 - construction of new facilities) for construction, reconstruction and overhaul of healthcare facilities will be implemented;
    • 14 projects for the development of scientific and innovative facilities will be implemented.

    In particular, the construction of the International Center for Molecular Allergology in the city of Tashkent is envisaged in 2021–2022.

    In addition, certain measures will be taken to develop railways and subways.
