Eight soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash in Colombia

    Eight employees of the Colombian Air Force were killed in the crash of a Huey II helicopter in the east of the country.

    According to the Report, President of the Republic Gustavo Petro announced this on his page on the social network X.

    "I regret to inform you about the death of eight employees of the Colombian Air Force who were in the Vichada department on a humanitarian mission. Their helicopter crashed. I express my solidarity to the families at this sad moment for the country," he wrote.

    The Colombian Air Force reported that as a result of the crash, all soldiers on board were killed. The helicopter crew performed the task of medical evacuation.

    The causes of the incident have not yet been determined.
