During the conversation, it was noted that Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations are based on strong historical ties, common cultural and spiritual values. Thanks to the political will of the heads of state, interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has reached a new level.
In particular, during the meeting, the successful holding of the First Uzbek-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Forum in Khiva and the signing of the roadmap for interparliamentary cooperation for 2025-2026 were emphasized. The importance of further advancing the agreements reached and developing partnership both at the level of the leadership of the parliaments and between their offices was noted.
The focus was on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the parliamentary offices of the two countries. Specific areas of partnership were discussed in such areas as the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking, parliamentary expertise, information and analytical work, the use of international ratings, as well as the introduction of innovative digital solutions.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the further development of inter-parliamentary relations, the establishment of a permanent constructive dialogue, as well as building practical cooperation between the parliamentary offices of the two countries.
