The CIS basic organization for the assessment of healthcare technologies, quality control and financing of medical care is being created to provide organizational and methodological support for the activities of the CIS member states in the development of methods for evaluating technologies in healthcare, quality control of medical care, the introduction of innovative technologies, the development and updating of the nomenclature of medical services, the development of clinical recommendations, improving methods of payment for medical care and financing of healthcare.
The need to create a Basic organization is associated with the emergence of new expensive technologies and the presence of other objective reasons (an increase in the proportion of chronic diseases, aging of the population, etc.). These factors lead to the need for a constant increase in healthcare costs, while issues of ensuring the efficiency of spending limited financial resources of the healthcare systems of the CIS member states and improving the quality of medical care to the population come to the fore
It is planned that the Center for Expertise and Quality Control of Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of Russia will receive the status of a basic organization.
The materials of the expert group meeting were sent for internal approval, after which the draft Regulation on the basic organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states for the assessment of healthcare technologies, quality control and financing of medical care will be submitted to the CIS Economic Council in accordance with the established procedure.
