The return
of the compatriots was the result of coordinated cooperation between the
competent authorities of Uzbekistan and the United States. As part of the
bilateral cooperation, all organizational and legal procedures were quickly
coordinated, including the identification of citizens, the registration of
documents and the provision of safe transportation, the Dune news agency
reports.
Uzbekistan
continues to cooperate with foreign partners on migration issues on an ongoing
basis, including the prevention of violations of migration legislation and the
protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens abroad.
Earlier, on
May 12, 20 Uzbek citizens were returned to Tashkent from Stockholm on a charter
flight.
