The event is organized by the University of Military Security and Defense in cooperation with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan.

OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Antti Karttunen, opening the conference, stressed the importance of an integrated approach to security.:

"Security is not just about military capabilities. The concept also includes sustainable government institutions, stable economic growth, environmental sustainability, the rule of law, and human well-being. True security is possible in a society where trust in government institutions is combined with active cooperation with neighboring countries and effective mechanisms for responding to new challenges."

The Ambassador also stressed that the OSCE's multidimensional security concept - including political-military, economic-environmental and human dimensions - creates a reliable basis for coordinated action and strengthening stability in the region.

During the event, key aspects of regional security were discussed: developing mechanisms for cooperation between states; increasing digital resilience in the face of growing cyber threats; combating transnational organized crime; the impact of climate change on regional security; strengthening openness and trust between institutions and society.

The conference became a platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of scientific approaches and search for innovative solutions aimed at further strengthening stability and security in Central Asia.
