The delegations of the two countries at the Forum were headed by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev from the Uzbek side and State Secretary of the Ministry of Development and Technology of Poland Michal Jaros from the Polish side.

The agenda was preceded by a business forum with the participation of more than 150 heads of large companies from the two countries. In particular, the Polish side was represented by JAKUSZ, BIOREX Food Diagnostics, PRONAR, Fabryka Maszyn Elektrycznych DAMEL S.A., Spółdzielnia Mleczarska MLEKOVITA, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), SKYBONE, HORUS-ENERGIA, TRADE CONNECT GROUP, CLEVER LOGISTICS, ABPLANALP, AMBERITE POLAND and other companies.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Akram Aliyev stressed the importance of intensifying business cooperation, breakthrough building of trade relations based on an in-depth analysis of the capacity of regional markets and transport and logistics capabilities.

The volume of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Poland has doubled over the past five years, to almost $ 400 million by the end of last year. There are 39 companies with Polish capital in Uzbekistan. At the same time, it was emphasized that there is a huge untapped potential for increasing bilateral trade through the use of preferential access of both countries to regional markets.

During the business forum, the potential of Uzbekistan's economic sectors was presented, specific investment initiatives and project proposals with high net present value in the fields of pharmaceutical production, food industry, agriculture, tourism, digital technology development, and education were announced.

The conditions created in Uzbekistan for comfortable business activities, protection of their rights and interests, and the main aspects of the country's investment and industrial potential are also presented.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of partnership relations between the two countries were reviewed in detail, and targets for mutual trade, investment attraction, and industrial cooperation were identified.

Within the framework of the forum program, meetings in the B2B and B2G format were organized, where entrepreneurs were able to make new, useful acquaintances, discuss the details of the joint implementation of mutually beneficial projects and trade agreements.

In accordance with the program, the parties continued their work within the framework of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Poland on trade and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, the reports of the heads of relevant ministries, departments and industry associations responsible for the implementation of existing agreements were heard. Each stage of the projects has been analyzed in detail, effective solutions have been developed to accelerate their successful implementation, deadlines have been set and responsible persons have been assigned.

As a result, the Protocol of the meeting of the Uzbek-Polish intergovernmental joint commission and a number of bilateral agreements were signed, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investment of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade, a cooperation agreement between the Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce of Poland on the establishment of the Uzbek-Polish Business Council., Agreement on cooperation between the Commissioner (Business Ombudsman) for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Poland.
