During the meeting, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, I. Makhkamov, focused on the draft strategic document "CATRANS-2035", which defines the priority areas of cooperation between the Central Asian countries in the transport sector until 2035.
The document is aimed at creating a unified, efficient, digital and environmentally friendly transport space integrated into international trade and logistics chains.
The project includes three key areas: infrastructure modernization, digital transformation, and institutional coordination.
The implementation of the CATRANS-2035 strategy should become a solid foundation for a new stage of transport integration in the region and will turn Central Asia into one of the largest logistics hubs in Eurasia.
Minister I. Makhkamov proposed to finalize the document and sign it at the next meeting of the Ministers of Transport, as well as to develop a Roadmap for the implementation of the initiatives.
The meeting participants supported efforts to develop international transport corridors that will strengthen Central Asia's position as a reliable partner in global logistics.
