As an
example, she cited the situation in the Lolazor mahalla in the Mirabad district
of Tashkent, where trees planted by residents were destroyed, and a business
center was planned to be built on the site of a playground.
"We
visited the Lolazor Mahalla in the Mirabad district of the capital. Trees
planted by residents were barbarously destroyed here, and a business center was
planned to be built on the site of the playground. Tashkent residents are
rightly outraged by the construction works that lead to the destruction of
their native yards, playgrounds and sports grounds," said Saida
Mirziyoyeva.
According
to her, the Prosecutor General's Office will conduct an inventory of similar
facilities throughout Tashkent. The audit will assess the legality of the
construction permits issued, compliance with urban planning regulations, as
well as ensuring the rights of residents.
"If
violations are detected, those responsible must be punished, up to and
including imprisonment," the head of the Presidential Administration
stressed.
