The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Badriddin Abidov.
In his speech, he noted the importance of the consistent efforts of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at supporting business and ensuring favorable conditions for trade development, as well as increasing trade ties with the European Union and world markets.
During the event, an official launch ceremony and presentation of the Uzbekistan Trade Info step-by-step trading information platform took place, as well as a discussion of the platform's potential for Uzbekistan and Central Asia to enter international markets.
The online tool will help provide free and permanent access to information related to cross-border trade, reduce time and costs for entrepreneurs, and will also help eliminate regulatory and procedural barriers to trade.
The development of the platform was carried out by the team together with government agencies and the private sector to ensure that information is constantly updated and provided in an up-to-date form.
The platform was launched as part of the four-year project "Ready4Trade - Central Asia", funded by the European Union. The regional project aimed at expanding trade ties supports the development of intraregional and international trade in five Central Asian countries, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan Trade Info, a step-by-step trading information platform, will become an effective tool to facilitate cross-border trade, complementing existing national online services, and will help the private sector of Uzbekistan to use all the opportunities of international trade, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Uzbekistan reports.
