The purpose of the trip is to study advanced technologies for growing seed stock, the experience of creating new varieties and the possibilities of their practical application.
First of all, the delegation visited the P.P. Lukyanenko National Center for Grain Crops in Krasnodar. The guests got acquainted with the scientific and research activities of the center, the work of laboratories for growing new varieties, as well as the processes of breeding high-yielding grain crops. In addition, meetings and negotiations aimed at exchanging practical experience were held.
In 2026, it is planned to sow a total area of 8320 hectares with grain crops in the region. Of these, 4,910 hectares will be allocated for new wheat varieties adapted to local soil and climatic conditions and with high yield potential. For this purpose, it is planned to purchase 945 tons of grain seeds - 59% of the total demand of the region. At the moment, contracts have already been concluded for the supply of 385 tons of seeds for sowing 1,725 hectares of land.
The purchased new grain varieties will be brought to the region and distributed among farms.
