According to the Resolution, the main targets for increasing potato production and developing its seed production in the republic are defined:
Starting from 2028, at least 10 million pieces of potato mini-tubers with a germination level of at least 85 are supplied annually. %;
an increase in the average potato yield in the republic by 2030 from 16-17 tons to 25-30 tons.
Every year, until December 1, the Ministry of Agriculture carries out orders to scientific institutions and business entities for the volume of in-vitro plants, micro- and mini-tubers of potatoes that will be grown next year.
To finance the cost of growing potatoes at the expense of the State Agricultural Support Fund, commercial banks provide loans in the amount of up to 50% of the cost of the crop at a rate of 12% per annum for a period of 12 months, including a grace period of 6 months, based on an insurance policy.
In addition, starting from January 1, 2026, up to 50 percent of potato producers' expenses for the installation of solar panels, but not exceeding 50 million soums, will be covered from the State Budget.
