The project is aimed at accelerating the development of the dairy sector of animal husbandry, increasing the financial stability of dairy processing enterprises.
The main directions of the project:
creation of 100 milk collection points in Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions, serving 320 mahallas, 12 thousand people and dehkan farms producing milk;
organization of the allocation of preferential loans in the amount of up to 250 thousand dollars to 865 individuals and dehkan farms for the creation and modernization of milk processing enterprises;
training of local specialists in methods of increasing livestock productivity based on foreign experience;
The launch of the National Dairy Products platform, which unites milk producers and buyers.
The total cost of the Project is the equivalent of 53.01 million dollars, of which:
The concessional loan from the International Fund for Agricultural Development is $ 30 million, as well as a loan of $7.8 million for a period of 25 years, including a five-year grace period.;
The contribution of the participants (beneficiaries) of the project is the equivalent of 5.94 million dollars.;
The contribution of the Republic of Uzbekistan is funds in the equivalent of 9.27 million dollars (in the form of tax, customs payments and office rental expenses, financial expenses during the investment period).
