In accordance with the President’s
relevant resolution dated July 28, 2021, the State Medical Insurance Fund is
consistently implementing a program to provide medical care to citizens
belonging to privileged categories.
This expands the
opportunities for the population in need of social protection to access
guaranteed, high-quality, and free medical care.
Turning to the figures,
during January–June of this year, a total of 44,633 patients were treated
across 165 medical institutions nationwide under this program.
A total of 591.2 billion
sums was disbursed by the Fund for their high-tech surgical procedures.
By region, the largest
amounts of funds were allocated to Tashkent region (80.1 billion sums),
Tashkent city (75.5 billion sums), and Samarkand region (63.7 billion sums).
Adults accounted for 58.8 percent of the patients and children for 41.2
percent, with the highest number of applications recorded for eye and heart
diseases.
