Uzbekistan has adopted new measures in trade and industrial policy

    The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Decree No. UP-67 dated 04/18/2025 "On measures to stimulate production, export and entrepreneurial activities, increase the effectiveness of trade and industrial policy."

    The mandatory state registration of high-risk products has been abolished and the procedure for issuing a declaration of conformity has been introduced.

    Starting from May 1, 2025, the procedure for registering a declaration of conformity with certification bodies will be abolished. Starting from the specified date, the declaration will be generated and recorded through the Technical Regulation Information System.

    Starting from August 1, 2025, the mandatory technical regulations and standards for food products will be abolished. By the specified period, sanitary rules, norms and hygiene standards for the most priority food products will be developed based on Codex Alimentarius standards.

    Some products are excluded from the lists of sanitary and epidemiological and state veterinary supervision, plant quarantine and technical regulation (the list can be found at the link).

    Starting from October 1, 2025, the excise tax on white sugar without flavorings or coloring additives imported into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be abolished.

    Legal entities with 20 or more employees are allowed to pay the accrued amounts of property tax, land tax and rent in installments until July 15 and December 1, 2025.
