Qatar Culture Week was held in Uzbekistan

    Qatar Culture Week was held in Uzbekistan from October 11 to 14 as part of the cooperation program between the two countries. The purpose of the event is to promote Qatar's heritage and expand cultural exchange.

    The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the Ambassador of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan Hassan bin Hamza Hashem, as well as a number of ministers, several ambassadors and a large number of spectators, reports "Greater Asia" with reference to the Qatar News Agency.

    Qatar's Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani made a welcoming speech and stressed the importance of the event.

    "Culture has always been a link, and the rapprochement of peoples is based on the exchange of their cultures," he said.

    "The organization of cultural weeks in both countries is a clear evidence of our mutual desire to expand cooperation," said Uzbek Culture Minister Nazarbekov Ozodbek Akhmedovich.

    The cultural week program included a concert by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, exhibitions of national clothes and traditional crafts, workshops on falconry and boat construction, film screenings organized by the Doha Film Institute, literary evenings, tastings of popular Qatari dishes, a coffee ceremony, dance and musical performances by famous bands. The guests of the event immersed themselves in the vibrant and distinctive culture of Qatar.
