According to the amendments and amendments to the Law:
The State will ensure equal access to justice for persons with disabilities on an equal basis with others, including taking measures aimed at ensuring the direct or indirect participation of persons with disabilities at all stages of the judicial process, as well as at the stages of inquiry and preliminary investigation in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The participation of persons with disabilities in the socio-polфitical life of the State will be ensured directly or through their representatives, including their right to vote and be elected, to participate in referendums in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The State will ensure the creation of the necessary conditions for voting for all categories of persons with disabilities, including those with hearing and visual disabilities who use a wheelchair at polling stations (referendum sites).
Previously, such norms did not exist.
In addition, the Law will be supplemented with norms defining the forms of communication that can be used to communicate with persons with disabilities, as well as the grounds for adapting social infrastructure facilities for unhindered access to them by persons with disabilities.
The law comes into force from the date of its official publication, according to the Ministry of Justice.
