It should be noted that in recent years there has been a significant intensification of cooperation between the Defense Department of Uzbekistan and the Mississippi National Guard. The military personnel of the two countries conduct joint practical activities, including trainings, exercises, as well as exchange information and look for ways to deepen military-technical cooperation in a wide range of areas.
In particular, starting in 2019, Uzbek servicemen annually take part in the joint exercise "Southern Strike" and the "Best Warrior" competition held on the basis of the training centers "Camp Shelby", "Camp McCain", "Golfport". Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan compete with Mississippi National Guard servicemen with dignity and have won prizes in competitions in the USA for several years in a row.
As representatives of the Mississippi National Guard noted, the United States values Uzbekistan as a strategic partner and recognizes its contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining security and stability in Central Asia.
The parties stressed that relations between Uzbekistan and the state of Mississippi are characterized by intensive dynamics and progressive expansion of multifaceted cooperation. The deepening of partnership between business and academic circles was noted separately. In addition, partnerships have been established between the cities of Zarafshan and Clinton. Mutual visits at a high level are organized on a regular basis in order to maintain close partnerships, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
