Cyclist from Uzbekistan disqualified for two years for doping

    A prohibited substance was found in a doping test taken from a cyclist from Uzbekistan Anna Kulikova.

    According to the National Anti-Doping Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a doping test was taken from the athlete A. Kulikova on October 25 last year outside of sports competitions.

    The results of the tests showed that the athlete had the substance "Metasterone", listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency in the lists of prohibited substances.

    According to the decision of the ethics commission at the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan, cyclist Anna Kulikova is suspended from participating in sports competitions for a period of two years.

    Now the athlete will not be able to participate in official tournaments and championships from December 26, 2022 to December 26, 2024.
