Six people died in Vietnam because of landslide

    At least six people were killed and 19 others injured after a passenger bus was buried under a landslide on a mountain road in the central Vietnamese province of Khanh Hoa.

    The local news portal VnExpress reported this.

    The disaster, according to the portal, occurred late on November 16 on the Khanh Le Pass, located on National Highway 27C. Heavy rain triggered the landslide on the pass, burying the bus carrying 32 people. Soil and rocks blocked a large section of the mountain road, forcing rescuers to spend more than two hours reaching the scene.

    Rescue operations continued at the site on Monday morning. Heavy rain and the risk of subsequent landslides are impeding the work, report.az reported.

    According to the Khanh Hoa Hydrometeorological Station, heavy rain is expected to continue in the province until November 18.
