During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the leather and footwear industry and financing of investment projects implemented in our country were discussed.
The management of Uzcharmsanoat provided the Japanese company with detailed information about the reforms of recent years in the Uzbek leather industry, the legal framework, production, investment and export potential of the industry.
The Japanese company Sankei Holdings has been financing large investment projects and supporting exports for many years. To date, it has already provided large-scale financial assistance to more than 15 countries. Now it aims to direct funds to the leather and shoe industry of Uzbekistan and export products to countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Turkey, South Korea, France, Germany.
During the meeting, business plans, directions and export markets of the implemented projects were discussed in detail. The company has established cooperation with enterprises of our republic and studied proposals for the production of shoe models developed by Japanese designers in our country.
The management of Sankei Holdings also announced that it is ready to finance investment projects implemented in MPZ, which are being created in 16 regions. After familiarization with the proposed projects and business plans, work on their financing will begin.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Uzcharmsanoat Association and Doubletree Capital Bank in the areas of attracting foreign capital to investment projects, export promotion, and personnel training.
