At the Apalachee High School in the U.S. state of Georgia on Wednesday, September 4, a 14-year-old student opened fire. As a result, at least four people were killed and 30 people were injured, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The victims of the attack are two students and two teachers.

The attacker was identified as Grey the Cat, he was arrested and charged with murder. According to the authorities, the police arrived at the school in the city of Winder a few minutes after the shooting began, and the student who opened fire immediately surrendered to law enforcement.

As CNN notes, last year the student was already questioned by the police in connection with anonymous reports that Gray had threatened to shoot at the school on the Internet. During that interrogation, the student denied his guilt.

Security measures have been strengthened in Winder. The head of GBI, Chris Hussey, said there was no evidence that Gray had an accomplice. At the same time, Jose said, police are checking to see if there are any other threats in nearby schools.
