On November 8, a lunar eclipse will be seen in Uzbekistan

    Interesting facts 8 November 2022 1975

Today, the inhabitants of the Earth will be able to observe one of the interesting astronomical phenomena - a total lunar eclipse. During the full phase of this eclipse, the entire surface of the Moon will be in the shadow of the Earth. The total duration of the lunar eclipse will be more than 4 hours, and the total phase of the eclipse will last 1 hour and 25 minutes.

As reported in the Astronomical Institute. Ulugbek, this lunar eclipse will be partially observed in Uzbekistan - on average, the eclipse can be observed for more than one hour.

The lunar eclipse begins before the Moon rises, so our compatriots will not be able to observe the maximum phase of the eclipse, when the entire surface of the Moon will be in the shadow of the Earth. However, with the moon rising, its disk will already be partially in shadow and, immediately after the moon rises, it will be possible to admire a private eclipse in all regions of Uzbekistan.

In Tashkent, the lunar eclipse will begin at 14:08, and the total eclipse will begin at 15:16, reaching its maximum phase at 15:59. At 16:41, the total eclipse will end, but the partial eclipse will continue. Note – all this time the Moon will still be under the horizon, it rises at 17:05. The lunar eclipse ends after 17:49.

It is worth noting that in the Fergana Valley, this eclipse has been observed longer than in other regions of the country.

The next lunar eclipse, which can be observed in Uzbekistan, will occur on May 5, 2023. This time it will be visible from beginning to end.

For reference: A lunar eclipse is a natural phenomenon of astronomical scale, when the Sun, Earth and Moon line up on the same line, and the shadow of the Earth falls on the surface of the Moon. It occurs during the full moon - when the entire surface of the Moon is illuminated by the Sun. The recent Solar Eclipse of October 25, 2022 is a twin eclipse of the current eclipse - exactly 14 days have passed since the Moon was in front of the earth and blocked the Sun's rays from us, earthlings, and now in two weeks it has moved to the other side of the Earth and now the Earth is "taking revenge" by blocking the Sun's rays from it.

Despite the fact that the Moon makes one revolution around the Earth every month, eclipses do not occur every time due to the inclination of the planes of the Earth-Sun and Earth-Moon systems. However, when these two planes coincide, there is not one eclipse, but twin eclipses with an interval of two weeks.
