According to the agency, the incident occurred on Saturday, February 8, at about 11:50 Beijing time (07:50 Baku time) in one of the villages near the city of Ibin. The landslide destroyed 10 houses. The exact number of missing people is being clarified.
Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered to take all possible measures to save people. Search and rescue operations are underway.
The agency also reported that the Chinese government has allocated about $11.16 million to assist in the aftermath of the landslide and reconstruction work in Sichuan Province.
