The Head of state expresses condolences to the family of the academician

    On August 28, the President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician, Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Yuldashev passed away.

    President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the house of the deceased today. The Quran and dua were recited.

    The Head of state remembered the good deeds of the scientist and his services to the Motherland.

    Bekhzod Yuldashev was born on May 9, 1945 in Tashkent. He began his career in 1968 as a research intern at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences. He was widely recognized internationally in high-energy physics. He demonstrated his high scientific and organizational potential as Director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics and President of the Academy of Sciences. He contributed to training highly qualified scientific personnel, developing cooperation with foreign scientific centers, and applying scientific results in economic sectors. He worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency and universities and managed many large projects.

    B. Yuldashev led fruitful activities as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis and later as a member of the Oliy Majlis Senate and showed dedication to developing and adopting draft laws.

    The state valued Academician B. Yuldashev’s merits in developing domestic science. He was awarded the honorary title “Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the orders “Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun” and “Mehnat Shuhrati”, the State Prize named after Beruni, and the title “Honored Scientist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”.

    The Head of state expressed condolences to the spouse and children of the deceased. They thanked the President for the visit and words of support.
