The plenary session on the topic "The role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening multilateral cooperation in Asia" highlighted the active role of the Parliament of Uzbekistan in promoting important initiatives in expanding regional and international relations and organizing international events.
In turn, it was noted that this is confirmed by the holding of the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union on April 5-9 this year in Tashkent for the first time in the history of Central Asia.
The session focused on the issues of enhancing interparliamentary cooperation for the exchange of experience in the implementation of high-level agreements and the adoption of laws.
During the discussion, members of our delegation made suggestions on consolidating efforts to effectively address issues related to environmental safety and climate change in our region.
In addition, the participants updated important aspects of the further expansion of socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with the effective use of parliamentary resources.
